Meeting Minutes
December 13, 2001
In attendance were:
Tom Keels, James Palmer, Steve Stinson, Mike Dalton, Michael Scibelli, Wil
Johnson, Dewayne Williams, Terry Lunn, Brent Pell, Tre' Warren, Buddy
Warren, Jim Ervin, Carl Connell, Dave Iacampo, Ryan Lynch, John Knox, Steve
Lane, Jim Bachemin, Dennis Raitt, Matt Ellinor, Dan Richardson, Don England,
and Brian Walls
Club Business:
Steve Stinson President, Chuck Simpson (absent)
- Steve Stinson called the meeting to order at 6:45 pm.
- Steve announced that the club would look into renting a booth for the
upcoming Florida Sportsman show in April.
- Steve also proposed ideas for the club functions and tournaments for the
year that the different committees would finalize plans for. These
include a multi-species tournament, a joint tournament with the Pensacola
Trout Club, and a few more.
- Discussion was expanded to rate the response of purposed raffles at club
meetings. General consensus was good and may be done in the future.
- Steve announced that the club will be looking into separating the club
website from BigBendFishing.Net
- Steve asked for volunteers for the different club committees. These
are listed below.
- James Palmer gave a status on the situation with the Carrabelle IGA fire
and the folks that it will effect. James explained the the Carrabelle
First Baptist Church will be making deliveries twice a week to shut ins that
the IGA used to serve. They will be taking donations for gas money for
the deliveries. Their address is:

Tom announced that the paperwork has been completed for the Boat U.S.
affiliation.
Guest Speaker Brian Walls
Brian gave and excellent impromptu seminar on grouper fishing in this
area. He answered many questions on techniques and dispelled the myth of
where grouper go in different seasons. He also gave a quick overview of
how to read a depth recorder and what to look for when searching for grouper
habitat.
